Rajat Dalal, a 28 year old, well-known powerlifter and fitness influencer, has been making headlines for his controversial actions. Known for his extreme fitness videos, Dalal has also gained attention for his vigilante-style behavior and confrontations with individuals he deems to be imposters or wrongdoers.
The Fake Baba Incident
In November of last year, Dalal had an encounter with three individuals who had entered his Delhi home while disguised as “fake babas” or Hindu holy men. Believing they had bad intentions, Dalal took matters into his own hands. He locked up the men, slapped them, held them hostage, and even stripped them, all while broadcasting the incident live on Instagram.

In the viral videos, Dalal can be seen interrogating the men, demanding they recite Hindu prayers to prove their authenticity. When they failed, he became aggressive, threatening them with a hammer and forcing them to slap each other. Dalal claimed their identification cards were fake and accused them of trespassing with malicious intent.
Clashes with Fellow Influencers
Dalal’s confrontational behavior extends beyond this incident. In January, he had a heated altercation with fellow powerlifter and influencer Sourav Kumar Singh(Singha). After Singh allegedly made offensive remarks about Dalal, the latter showed up at Singh’s gym in Dehradun with a group of men, causing Singh to flee.
Elvish Yadav vs Maxtern
Dalal inserted himself into the highly publicized conflict between YouTubers Elvish Yadav and Maxtern. a day After Yadav assaulted Maxtern on camera, Dalal went live on Instagram with maxtern, sharing the clip and stating that the parties involved, along with Maxtern’s family, would sort out the matter together, this can be seen as another stint of him acting as a vigilante, rajat had said in a previous video that he believed Maxtern is playing a victim card since he ahd camera set up.

A History of Vigilantism
Unverified sources claim that Dalal has connections to judges and lawyers in his family, which may explain why no legal action has been taken against him despite his frequent disregard for laws and property. He has been known to act as a self-appointed vigilante, destroying property and disobeying traffic rules while recording and posting these incidents on Instagram.
As Dalal’s influence and controversial actions continue to garner attention, questions arise about the line between standing up for justice and taking the law into one’s own hands.
