OPPO Introduces AI Eraser to the Reno11 Series: Transform Your Photo Editing Experience
AI Eraser Debuts on OPPO Reno11 Series
OPPO has announced the official rollout of its AI Eraser tool for the Reno11 series, bringing advanced photo editing capabilities to a wider audience. This announcement comes on the heels of a similar move by OnePlus, OPPO’s sister company. However, OPPO’s rollout is currently limited to the Reno11 series.
Exclusive to Reno11 Series
AI Eraser will be available exclusively to Reno11 series devices via an OTA update starting from April 10, 2024. The feature will be available on all models within the series, including the lower-end Reno11 F. OPPO has not yet confirmed whether it plans to expand the tool’s availability to other devices in the future.
AI-Powered Photo Editing
Similar to Samsung’s Photo Assist feature, AI Eraser allows users to remove unwanted objects from photos within the gallery app. The generative AI employed by the tool automatically fills in the removed areas using contextual information, creating a seamless blend with the rest of the photo.
Connection Requirements
OPPO has not specified whether AI Eraser processing takes place on-device or requires an internet connection. However, given OnePlus’s approach with its AI Eraser tool, it is possible that OPPO’s implementation may also require an internet connection.
Future Expectations
With OnePlus planning to roll out AI-powered article and call summary tools globally in the coming months, there is speculation that OPPO may follow suit. These tools, developed using OPPO’s AndesGPT generative AI model, could potentially be integrated into the Reno11 series in the near future.
OPPO Democratizing AI Photo Editing
OPPO has hailed the introduction of AI Eraser to the Reno11 series as a democratizing force in the world of AI photo editing. The company believes that the tool will empower users to create high-quality photos with ease, a feature typically reserved for flagship devices.
Availability Information
OPPO’s AI Eraser tool will be rolling out to all Reno11 Pro 5G, Reno11 5G, and Reno11 F 5G devices from early April 2024. Users in the Philippines will be among the first to receive the update, starting from April 8.
