Michael Cole Fires Back at Roman Reigns for Derogatory Insult
Michael Cole, one of WWE’s most experienced commentators, recently found himself in the crosshairs of the company’s reigning champion, Roman Reigns. During a guest appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Reigns labeled Cole a “d*ck rider.”
Cole’s Response
In an interview on the same show, Cole responded to Reigns’ insult. He expressed his disappointment, stating that the Tribal Chief’s comment was disrespectful and uncalled for.
“I think it also has to do with the fact that Roman Reigns came on this program last week and called me a d*ck rider,” Cole said. “Nonetheless, listen, I’ve known Cody, known his family for a long, long time. Cody’s earned this opportunity.”
Cole’s Support for Cody Rhodes
Cole went on to explain that his support for Cody Rhodes over The Bloodline stems from his admiration for Rhodes’ work ethic and dedication. He recalled how Rhodes helped out on “The JBL & Cole Show” during a difficult period in the latter’s career.
Cole’s Disdain for The Rock
Cole then shifted his focus to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He accused Johnson of opportunism, suggesting that he only returned to WWE when it became convenient for him, potentially at the expense of Rhodes’ WrestleMania main event spot.
“What does The Rock do? The business gets hot again. Rock decides he wants to be a part of it. He pushes his way in through the door. He decides to take the spot of my man, Cody Rhodes, in the main event of WrestleMania, because he is on the board, that he is ‘The Final Boss,’ that he is allowed to do this,” Cole said.
