WWE News: Seth Rollins’ Plans After Stepping Away
Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins is stepping away from the company for a few weeks, according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer. Rollins has been dealing with several injuries and will take time off to rest and recuperate. He is expected to return after four weeks.
Rollins’ Busy Schedule
Rollins had a busy schedule leading up to his loss at WrestleMania. He teamed up with Cody Rhodes to face The Rock and Roman Reigns on Night 1 of WrestleMania. On Night 2, he faced Drew McIntyre in a grueling match and later interfered in the Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes match.
Konnan’s Speculation
WCW Legend Konnan believes that Rollins’ absence could open the door for a feud between Brock Lesnar and Gunther. Lesnar was reportedly set to face Gunther at WrestleMania, but those plans were scrapped.
Gunther’s Dominant Run
Gunther has been one of the most dominant performers on RAW, holding the Intercontinental Championship for 666 days. His absence on last week’s RAW has fueled speculation about his future.
Sue Aitchison’s Release
In other WWE news, veteran employee Sue Aitchison has been released by the company after 38 years of service. Aitchison played a key role in establishing WWE’s partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
