## Willock to Miss Tottenham Clash With Achilles Issue
### Howe Provides Injury Update on Newcastle Midfielder
**Newcastle, England** – Newcastle United midfielder Joe Willock is set to miss Saturday’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur due to an ongoing Achilles injury, manager Eddie Howe has announced.
Howe revealed that Willock has been consulting with specialists to monitor the progress of his recovery, but the injury has been proving problematic.
“It’s been a difficult injury, it’s not been straightforward because he’s had a few complications through the process,” Howe explained. “The feedback was generally positive, but it fluctuates from time to time.”
Willock, who has already missed a significant portion of the season due to Achilles and hamstring issues, limped off in the first half of Newcastle’s 1-0 victory over Fulham last week.
While Howe indicated that the injury is unlikely to require surgery, he acknowledged that Willock’s availability for the remainder of the season remains uncertain.
“For Tottenham, I probably think he won’t be available. There’s a chance he will then be available through the rest of the season, but again, that’s slightly unclear.”
Hopeful Returns on the Horizon
Despite Willock’s setback, Howe provided positive updates on other injured players. Defender Tino Livramento is reportedly closest to making a return, while Lewis Hall remains a slight concern.
“He [Livramento] has not trained with the team but has been out on the grass,” Howe said. “I’m hoping in the not-too-distant future we can get three or four back.”
Newcastle’s Admiration for Tottenham
Ahead of the Tottenham clash, Howe expressed his admiration for the London club’s style of play.
“I admire them tactically; I admire them physically,” Howe said. “A lot of credit must go to [manager] Ange Postecoglou for the job he has done.”
Newcastle currently sits in eighth place in the Premier League standings, 13 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, who they surprisingly defeated 6-1 at home last season.
