Qualifying for the Championships
The pathway to the prestigious Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Championship events lies through a series of qualifiers. Mark your calendars for these upcoming qualifying tournaments:
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2024 Qualifier
- Dates: May 19 & May 26
- Time: 12-6 p.m. PT
- Prizes: Top 24 players on each day earn 2,500 My Nintendo™ Gold Points
- Championship Alert: Top six players from each day may qualify for the final tournament
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Championship 2024 Qualifier
- Dates: June 1-2 & June 8-9 (varies by region)
- Prizes:
- Grand Prize: 10,000 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $100)
- First Prize: 8,000 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $80)
- Second Prize: 6,000 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $60)
- Third Prize: 4,000 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $40)
- Championship Alert: Regional winners may earn an invitation to the championship
Entering the Tournaments
To participate in these qualifiers, simply follow these instructions:
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe:
- Start Mario Kart 8 Deluxe during the tournament time slot.
- Select “Tournaments” and then “Search by Code.”
- Enter the tournament day code:
- (May 19) Tournament Day 1 ID: 2807-7189-1755
- (May 26) Tournament Day 2 ID: 5151-4959-9275
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate:
- Start Super Smash Bros. Ultimate during the tournament time slot.
- Read the tournament rules and select “Yes” to agree.
NintendoVS Challenge Cup
In addition to the qualifiers, the NintendoVS Challenge Cup of June 2024 offers another opportunity to earn prizes and potential championship invitations.
- Prizes:
- Grand Prize: 10,000 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $100)
- First Prize: 4,000 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $40)
- Second Prize: 3,000 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $30)
- Third Prize: 2,500 My Nintendo Gold Points (ARV $25)
