The path of totality for the 2044 total solar eclipse will only touch three states in the U.S.: Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota. The eclipse will start in Greenland on August 23, 2044, and will continue its path through Canada before entering the U.S.

The path of totality for the 2045 total eclipse will cross a significant portion of the continental U.S., from California to Florida. The eclipse will start in Mexico and move east across the U.S., similar to the eclipse in 2017.

After the 2044 and 2045 total solar eclipses, the next total eclipses in North America will occur in 2078 and 2099.
