What Character is the Next Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 DLC Character?

Guilty Gear Strive Season 3 DLC Character Silhouette Revealed: It’s Likely Slayer

At Evo Japan 2024, Arc System Works teased the final Season 3 DLC character for Guilty Gear Strive. The silhouette left little doubt as to who it is, but now, we have a full look, and it’s almost certainly Slayer, the resident vampire of the series.

Previously Released Teaser

At the Arc World Tour Finals in March, ArcSys released a brief teaser for the final Season 3 character. A small part of the silhouette was blurred, but fans quickly noticed the small bats hovering around the fighter’s head.

Those familiar with Guilty Gear recognized these bats as belonging to Slayer. They frequently appear in his special moves, making fans confident in their deduction.

Full Silhouette Reveals Slayer

This weekend, ArcSys unveiled the complete silhouette, leaving no doubt about the character’s identity. The fighter is tall, slender, with spiky hair and a suit and coat.

The bats are still visible, and their design further supports the idea that they belong to Slayer. Additionally, the silhouette holds a pipe, another distinctive feature of the vampire.

Unless Arc System Works is intentionally misleading fans, the silhouette overwhelmingly suggests Slayer. The timing and promotional materials indicate that Slayer’s official reveal is likely to occur this weekend at Evo Japan 2024.

Possible Season 4 Announcement

ArcSys’s open display of Slayer’s silhouette may be strategic. At the Arc World Tour Finals, the company announced the development of Season 4 for Guilty Gear Strive.

It’s possible that ArcSys will tease or announce something related to Season 4’s DLC this weekend as well. However, no official confirmation has been provided.

Stay tuned for updates throughout the Evo Japan 2024 weekend for the latest tournament results and breaking news on all major fighting game announcements.
