ESMT Berlin and BMW Group Launch Third Year of Change Maker Fellowships, with a Focus on Digitalization
**Berlin, May 13, 2024** – ESMT Berlin and the BMW Group have announced their third collaboration to offer BMW Group Change Maker Fellowships. This year’s program will award 10 fully-funded fellowships to ambitious young professionals in mathematics or technology aspiring to accelerate positive and meaningful change.
Building upon their long-standing partnership, ESMT and the BMW Group will focus the 2024 edition of the fellowship on digitalization, aiming to cultivate tech-savvy future leaders in key countries.

In their application for the BMW Group Change Maker Fellowships, candidates must articulate the aspect of a digital future that fascinates them the most and provide a rationale for their choice.
Ilka Horstmeier, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, People and Real Estate, and Labour Relations Director, emphasizes the importance of digitalization in shaping future mobility: “We at the BMW Group are deeply committed to making positive changes in the world. The ESMT Global Online MBA is the first fully online program offered by ESMT Berlin. Designed for working professionals, the program offers a flexible and accessible way to earn an MBA while maintaining a full-time career.
Applications for the BMW Group Change Maker Fellowships are now open to citizens or permanent residents of Germany, India, Portugal, Romania, or South Africa. Candidates must hold an undergraduate degree or have current employment in mathematics or technology. The deadline for applications is September 1, 2024.
