Merlo to Set Up Its Own Distribution Organization in Ireland

Italian telescopic handler manufacturer, Merlo, is gearing up to establish its own distribution organization in the Republic of Ireland. This move marks a strategic shift for Merlo, which has relied on its distributor, McHale Plant Sales, for the past decade.

Growing Market and Enhanced Presence

The Irish telescopic handler market has experienced consistent growth, attracting Merlo’s attention. Chief Executive Paolo Merlo expressed the company’s commitment to expanding its global presence, with Ireland playing a crucial role.

Dealer Network and Support

Merlo’s new distribution operation will appoint dealers for both its agricultural and construction product lines. This network will provide local support and ensure efficient distribution of Merlo’s products.

The partnership with McHale will conclude this summer, allowing Merlo to prepare its own operation and establish a network of dealers by then.

Appreciation for McHale Partnership

Paolo Merlo acknowledged the successful partnership with McHale Plant Sales over the past decade. He expressed gratitude for their contribution in establishing Merlo’s brand reputation in Ireland.

“The successful relationship between Merlo and McHale began more than 10 years ago, and we wish to thank McHale Plant Sales for the excellent work in those years,” Merlo stated.

He wished McHale Plant Sales all the best for the future and emphasized Merlo’s commitment to building upon the strong foundation laid during the partnership.
